We see the Sun in the morning. At night, the sky becomes dark. This happens because Earth rotates.
Earth is shaped like a big ball. The Sun lights only half of Earth at one time. The place facing the Sun has daytime.
As Earth turns, that place slowly moves away from the Sun’s light. Then it becomes night. Earth makes one full turn in about 24 hours. That is why day and night repeat every day.
